yes yes yes

Two hours and $160 dollars later the lump turned out to be just an abscess. The vet recommended letting her body heal itself but to watch the lump in case it gets worse. We've got a return appointment scheduled in three weeks for some follow up shots. I kind of lapsed on some of her boosters so we have to restart the process again. Thankfully these are the shots that cost the least. We're very lucky and I'm quite happy that two bullets were dodged today. Pretty paws is happily chewing up her tooth cleaning treat the vet techs gave her. Phew!

I haz a abscess?

  1. Thats great!! I'm confused though if the vet said it was an abscess, they don't usually open by themselves. In fact I never had one that didn't open with a little help. Like warm compresses to open it.

    1. There wasn't much if any fluid when they did the aspiration which the vet said means this is either on it's way up or down. Since this one is under the skin her body will kill the bacteria and just absorb the junk. Now if it gets worse the vet will manually drain and treat it. For now I just watch and wait.

    1. For sure. None for the little porker though, she weighed in at 30 pounds this visit. She was at 25 last October.

    1. They do but I'm going to cut out all her other treats except for her most favorite ones. Pup-corn. They're healthy and non fattening. We're going to resume our walks and dog park visits so she can work off some that chubb.
